While with IBI Group Mr. Davies acted as Project Manager for this study for Transport Canada to evaluate the viability of intraregional shortsea shipping of containers by barge.

The project included a review of container logistics issues and challenges within the Lower Mainland, a critical review of previous studies on this subject, and detailed cost analysis of drayage and potential barge operating costs for the movement of containers. This project was undertaken in cooperation with Jonathan Seymour and Associates Inc. who provided detailed costing analysis for local barge operations.
